ABOUT THE ADMINISTRATOR
  • Abdelaali Chaoub is an Associate Professor in Telecommunications, appointed at the Institut National des Postes et Télécommunications (INPT) of Morocco since 2015. He has obtained an engineering diploma of telecommunication from INPT in 2007 with the highest honors and received his Ph.D. degree from Mohammadia School of Engineers (EMI), Mohammed V-Agdal University, in 2013. His research interests are related to autonomous and self-organizing systems' architectures, remote/rural connectivity solutions for B5G/6G networks, design and optimization of IoT-enabled smart grids (e.g., LoRa and power line communications), dynamic spectrum access and cognitive radio networks, adaptive multimedia streaming in wireless networks, mitigation of DoS attacks in cellular networks and cooperative communications. He is a paper reviewer for several leading international journals and conferences like Computers & Electrical Engineering journal (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Access, IET Electronics Letters, Telecommunication Systems (Springer), IEEE MELECON'18, IEEE WCNC’19 and IEEE Globecom'19. He is listed among top five reviewers for the Computers & Electrical Engineering journal during 2014 (based on the number of manuscripts reviewed). 
  • Prof A. Chaoub is an IEEE Senior Member, member of IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Sensors Council, IEEE Systems Council, IEEE Future Networks and IEEE Smart Grid. A member of the professional online network: Elsevier Innovation Panel (the former Elsevier's Innovation Explorers). 
  • Member of the following Working Groups within IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA): P1950.1, P1900.1 and P1941.1. Member of the following Working Groups within the IEEE International Network Generations Roadmap (INGR): Standardization Building Blocks and Systems Optimization.  Member of Connecting the Unconnected (CTU) initiative driven by IEEE Future Networks. He is also an active member of the Moroccan Association of Information and Communications Technologies (AMTIC). 
  • Prof A. Chaoub has accumulated intersectoral skills through work experience both in academia and industry as a Senior VoIP solutions Consultant/Architect at Alcatel-Lucent (2007 -- 2015), where he has been involved in many projects for implementing IP Telephony in large structures.
  • Visiting researcher at the ETIS (Information Processing and System Teams) lab of CY Cergy Paris University at Paris, France between 03/11 and 16/11/2019.
  • Since  January  2020,  working  with  a  group  of  recognized  experts  and  enthusiasts  of  future  6G technologies to write two new themed 6G Research White Papers on RF & Spectrum and Connectivity for Remote Areas, a collaborative effort led by 6G Flagship senior researchers from University of Oulu in Finland.
